Augmented Reality OOH

A transformative Web AR experience for magazines (Wired, Condé Nast, Fast Company) and OOH bus shelters around downtown Los Angeles and San Francisco. Using their phones, users were able to turn the beautiful static prints of Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City, and Bangkok into portals through immersive videos, bringing the 3 cities alive before their eyes.

<Responsibilities />

  • Sole developer for the project

  • Make sure the AR scale and mask correctly between the different aspect ratios of the 3 magazines that contained an image target and the bus stop shelter version.

  • Create the "magical window" for the spherical video and match it with the shoot in the magazine for seamless transition.

  • Error and instructional website for desktop (only mobile supported)

  • QA and optimization for mobile.
